KATHMANDU, Nepal — The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), the central monetary authority of Nepal, has officially released the foreign currency exchange rates for today. According to the daily update provided by the central bank, currency values have experienced notable shifts, with the US Dollar maintaining a strong position against the Nepalese Rupee (NPR).
For today's trading, the purchasing rate for one US Dollar has been established at 151.24 NPR, while the selling rate stands at 151.88 NPR.
Major Global Currency Rates at a Glance
In addition to the US Dollar, the Nepal Rastra Bank has updated the exchange valuations for several other major international currencies widely used for trade, tourism, and foreign remittances.

For Nepali migrant workers sending money back home, the exchange rates for Middle Eastern and Asian currencies remain a crucial economic indicator. The central bank's latest sheet shows steady figures for the Gulf region:
Saudi Arabian Riyal (SAR): The buying rate is fixed at 40.32 NPR with a selling rate of 40.49 NPR.
Qatari Riyal (QAR): One Qatari Riyal can be purchased for 41.48 NPR and sold at 41.65 NPR.
UAE Dirham (AED): The exchange stands at 41.17 NPR for buying and 41.35 NPR for selling.
Malaysian Ringgit (MYR): The buying rate is 33.85 NPR and the selling rate is 33.99 NPR.
Commercial banks across Kathmandu and the rest of the country may adjust these retail rates slightly based on their internal transaction costs, but they will primarily fluctuate around these official benchmarks set by the NRB.
